“This time around, a total of 5,000 pairs of used and new clothes had succeeded to be collected from the public. We chose UPM as the project location due to easy accessibility as it is easier for donors to send their clothes here besides UPM having a conducive facility for the purpose,” he said.

UPM Putra Bakti volunteer, Farahyusrina Shahar, 32, said the program would inspire him to continue carrying out voluntary activities in the future.

“I was told about this project by my office colleague and this is the first time that I have experienced being involved in such a programme. The response from the public is overwhelming,” she said.

Her colleague, Naszroul Haqimee Rahmat, 31, said he was satisfied with the programme as he was able to assist those in need.

“This is just one of those little things I could do to help them by distributing baju Raya to welfare bodies which have been identified by the organizer,” he said. – UPM.
