SERDANG, Sept 1 - The Corporate Strategy and Communications Office (CoSComm), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) will be organising the Putra Green Run 2018 (PGR2018) on September 30 to raise funds for the implementation of various green sustainability projects around the campus.
Programme director, Abdullah Arshad said that the run will also help create awareness for the Green Charity UPM project that will help educate the public on the importance of conservation and preservation of the environment.
"This programme will also introduce UPM as an edu-tourism destination by highlighting the various facilities and green environment as well as ways to generate a healthy lifestyle for its campus residents and the general public," he said.
The launch of this inaugural mega-scale, University level run aims to have about 3,000 participants from all walks of life.
PGR 2018 will be enlivened with various activities that will benefit visitors such as exercise sessions, agricultural product exhibits, health and cancer screening. - UPM
